Knee-Mail from Dave

July 30, 2010

Dear Knee-Mail Friends,

Hey there!  Well, I am immersed in my study break this week, but looking forward to seeing everyone at the picnic and baptism on Sunday.

I've been watching the web site's "construction cam" to keep up with the progress of the building.  They are busy with all the prep work of laying pipes and such before they pour the concrete.   As I've asked you before, please be in prayer for this project and for the resources to pour in. Our commitment to build without borrowing is firm.  Let's join together and ask that God move strongly in the hearts of His people.

I've heard great things about our Student Ministries' week-long missional experience called Immersion.  Forty-five of our students and 20+ volunteers poured out themselves serving the Somali/Bantu, Burmese, and Brookmill Apts. Communities.

This coming Sunday is the third and final part in our Summer Series of "Wood, Bread, and Water" - the 3 elemental sacraments of our faith -- the cross, communion, and baptism.  Suze will be teaching this week, partnering with Gordon and the worship team to create a Sunday morning experience that both inspires and challenges the FMC family.  This will be a perfect start to a great day - which will end with our annual Fellowship Family Picnic and Baptism out at Stillwater Retreat.  I hope to see you there.

Here are a couple of other prayer requests:
●  Study break ongoing.  This is a time where I seek the Lord regarding our next initiatives and teaching series.  Would you partner with me in prayer regarding that?  I so want to hear His word regarding our future. And, if I can, I will try to keep you posted on this site as to my progress.
●  Suze is preaching Sunday - while also dealing with details for the baptism at Stillwater - please pray specifically for her leadership and stamina.

Well that's it for now.  I'm so grateful that you took the time to read this and that you will go beyond that to pray.  As you do, I'd love to know who my Knee-Mail friends are.  So feel free to contact me: ddeselm@fmcfw.org and I'll add your name to a list that I can pray for as well.

I do hope that the next seven days will be filled with joy!

Blessings,
Dave
Dave
